Our program starts with fundamental web languages -- HTML & CSS. We utilize the latest mobile-first styling modules such as Flexbox and Grid to ensure stunning interfaces. Students then learn the fundamentals of JavaScript which allows for interactivity. Next, we'll take a deep dive into fundamental programming concepts such as data structures, functions, loops, data streams, and more.

During the following weeks, we'll introduce you to the world of WebAPI's. These concepts will allow you to transition from static pages to fully interactive ones through the use of Event Listeners. We will consume content from an API and display it to our user by utilizing Document Object Model (DOM). Later on, you will learn how to utilize React, the world's most popular front-end library to build fast, scalable, and elegant user interfaces that will be added to your portfolio.

We've consumed an API, but how about building one to use with our custom React front-end? During this unit, we'll learn how a server works and how the information is stored and retrieved. To do this, we'll utilize Express.js as our framework of choice to build a server which will listen for requests and return intricate responses. We will store our data by utilizing a noSQL database called MongoDB.

During this time, you will learn how to work as part of a team using Agile methodologies. You will use your newly-minted skillset to help a real company create their full-stack application. This final project will cement your existing understanding of the coursework, and working within shared codespace.  You will walk away with a specialized project to show future employers, and a knowledge base from which to explore future technologies you're interested in post-graduation.
